About
I have thirty years of experience working with people dealing with recurrent musculoskeletal problems, drawn from a clinical background in physical therapy, orthopedic manual therapy, strength and conditioning, and nutrition. Most of that time has been spent one on one, evaluating and treating athletes, and I'm still doing it. Part of it has been spent teaching this material across the United States, to rooms as small as ten and as large as a thousand.
This site is for runners, cyclists, triathletes, and endurance athletes of every kind over 45 who have an injury that keeps coming back. People who rested it, rehabbed it, treated it, were told what it is, and watched it return the next time they built. People who've started to suspect the explanation they keep being given doesn't quite hold up.
What you'll find here is a series of articles laying out a different way of thinking about what's happening in your body, and a book, The Injury That Keeps Coming Back, that puts the whole of it in one place. If you're not sure where to start, begin with the book. If you'd rather read an article first, start here.
I'm also putting this work into a program. The Founders Group page says what that is, who it's for, and where it stands.
If something here raised a question or a thought, email me. I reply to every one.
